A Ladies Diary Card

I made a card for a coworker who retired last month.  I wanted to make it extra special for her.  I used Graphic 45 A Ladies Diary paper and stickers to create the easel card:

The stamps are from Papertrey Ink: Simply Jane, Calendar Basics, and Celebrations stamp set and coordinating die.  I also used I Am Roses flowers, added doilies, lace trim, string, pearl flourish, and ivory ribbon.

The sticker tag on the bottom is what holds the easel card up.  I added a little chipboard piece behind it to prop it up.

I made a pocket on the inside of the card to hold a couple of journaling cards for us coworkers to sign.  It will also be a place to put our gift card for her.

Prima Inspired Christmas Cards part 3

This time I made a tag for the Prima challenge of making it frugal, and clean and simple.

Quite simply, I cut apart a note card from the Prima Holiday Jubilee paper collection,  rounded the corners, backed it on some black cardstock, and stamped a sentiment from Papertrey Ink.  The poinsettia petals came from a Prima tin that I have from a long time ago.  Then added a pearl center, some pearl strands, lace, and seam binding.

Prima Inspired Christmas Cards part 2

Here is a second card I made for the Prima challenges:

Again this card has a base from the Prima Ledger pad.  The papers and sentiment are from the Prima Holiday Jubilee collection.  I also added a Finnabair metal trinket, as well as Prima flowers.  The ornament was die cut from a Sizzix die, then added a doily and green ribbon.

Prima Inspired Christmas cards part 1

I really wanted to take part in the challenges, but having guests staying over made it difficult.  Here is one card I made:

For the background paper I used Prima Ledger, but the rosette was made from the Prima Holiday Jubilee paper, and the notecard was cut from the paper collection as well, then added a Prima flower and velvet leaves.  The sentiment along the bottom is a Papertrey Ink stamp.  Red sheer ribbon and lace finish the card.
