Accucut Framed Birdcage

Here is a project using one of the Accucut Bird Cages die. I die cut the birdcage out of grungeboard so that it is bendable and pliable.  I wanted to create a mixed media art.  The background designer paper is from the Prima Engraver paper pad, and I used the Prima Checker stencil and acrylic paint to add interest in the background.  The black frame is from Ikea.

The grungeboard was given a patina look by coloring it with different Tim Holtz metallic distress stains and black archival ink.  The tutorial I followed is from Swirlydoos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOEHjc2uAZA.  Here is a side view so you can see how the birdcage curves up off the page.

Added some I Am Roses flowers and Tim Holtz metal and Spare Parts bling.  The wooden bird is from Michaels.

Added some lace and dangling crystal bling and the Inspire bulb is by Prima.

Thanks for taking a look.
