Graphic 45 Christmas Mini Album

My goal was to make a Christmas mini album before Christmas, and I can't believe I actually did it.  It usually takes me forever to created a mini.  I'll start it, but take many days to add stamping and decorate it.  For this album, I used papers from Graphic 45's T'was the Night Before Christmas collection.

Black chipboard covers and pocket pages bound together with my Bind It All.
On the coil rings, I tied a bow with some tulle, and hung some holiday charms.

Prima Day 11 Challenge Card/Tag

I don't have any of the holiday Julie Nutting stamp sets, but I hope this tag will qualify for Day 11 as I used a Julie Nutting doll stamp dressed in holiday style.  The base of the tag is Prima packaging.  The papers are from the Jubilee collection.  The left side of the tag is cut with a border punch.  I colored the girl's hair and shoes with colored pencils, very simple.  Behind the Prima poinsettia flower is a doily cut from a Prima die. 

Finished off the card with some green/gold fibers, red metallic cording, and the green satin/lace trim I bought during my trip to LA. 

This completes my entries to the 2014 Prima Christmas card challenge.  I enjoyed going through my Prima stash and creating with items I haven't even opened or used yet, and playing with the collections I love.  Thank you Prima for the fun challenges.  And thanks to all who stopped by to take a peek!

Prima Color Bloom Challenge Day 9

I have to say I'm very impressed with the result of creating the background of this card.  I used a Prima damask stencil and sprayed worn leather color bloom spray.  I love the shimmer of gold in the color.  So beautiful!

The paper, left over 6x4 ATC card, and tag is from the Cartographer collection.  I just replaced the twine on the tag with an olive green one.  Flower and leaves are also by Prima.  Added some brown velvet ribbon, lace trim, and pearl stamen.  Stamped sentiment, by Papertrey Ink, was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

BTW, I saw sneak peaks of some new color bloom sprays coming out early next year, matching with the new collections coming out, and I love them!!! They are deep rich colors.  Can't wait to get my hands on them!

Prima Finnabair Christmas Card

Hello!  Here is a simple card I made with the focus on the pretty Finnabair Mechanical metal rose.  I put a pearl in the center.  The papers are also Finnabair. 

Added some Prima scripted ribbon that I just got from Joann.com.  The stamped sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Prima Challenge Day 7: Wood Icons

For this challenge, I made a card using a birdcage wood icon from the Epiphany collection.

The papers are from the Madeline 6x6 paper pad.  Along with the Prima flowers, I added some green sheer ribbon, pearl strand, and a cardinal die cut from a Tim Holtz Sizzix die.  The sentiment is a stamp from Papertrey Ink.

Prima Day 12: Cigar Box Secrets Card

Here is a card I made for the challenge to use anything from the Cigar Box Secrets collection.

I used the 4x6 journaling notecards.  I die cut one of them with a Papertrey Ink tag die that resembles an ornament and tied a ribbon on top.  Also added a piece of ephemera and the word "JOY" on it, and some velvet ribbon along the bottom.  Behind the Prima flower is a couple of gold Ivy Bay leaves.  I tucked in a pearl spray and an Ingvild Bolme junkyard finding keyhole. Atop the flower is a cardinal die cut from a Tim Holtz Sizzix die.

Prima Day 4 Christmas Card

On day 4 Prima challenged us to create a card using resist canvas, or crackle paste.  In my arsenal, I have a package of resist canvas.  I colored it using Prima's Color Bloom spray.

The paper collection is Time Traveler.  Along with Prima flowers, I added some wide gold ribbon, green/gold fibers, doily, and lace trim.  The stamped sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Prima Challenge Day 2: Dies

I had bought the flower cluster dies a few months ago, and just got around to using them.  On my card, I used Stationer's Desk papers, and die cut the flowers and made a tag.  Adding the pearl flower centers was perfect on the die cut.  Among the flowers, I also added an Invild Bolme junkyard finding and tucked in some black seam binding.  The Stampendous sentiment was heat embossed with black embossing powder. 

I'm glad I got to use these dies, and plan to use it more often.  Thanks for stopping by!

Kaisercraft Christmas Tag

Just getting started on making cards and tags for Christmas.  I wanted to create a tag for the I Am Roses November Challenge.

The I Am Roses flowers I used are R2, R21, and R77.  The papers and die cuts are from the Twig and Berry collection by Kaisercraft.  Sentiment stamp is from the Turtle Dove collection.  Added some pearl spray, gold cording, and wide wired gold ribbon.  The base of the tag is by Graphic 45.

Prima Christmas Card Challenge Day 6 - Trims

It's that time of the year where Prima has their Christmas card challenges.  The focus of this card is how I incorporated Prima trims.  I hand made the tree using torn strips of paper, crumpled, distressed and inked.  Then added layers of trim within.

The papers are from the 6x6 Nature Garden pad.  I distressed and inked with teal damask chalk ink and shabby tote.  The flower is a Prima classic, just added a crystal bling in the center.  Stamped sentiment is by Stampendous.

Graduation Mini Album for Leah

Hi there!  I'm here to share a mini album I made for my niece Leah who graduated high school this year.  I thought the Teresa Collins Memorabilia collection is perfect for this album.  I used the pattern papers as well as the file folders, chipboard, and embellishments that are part of the collection.

 

The cover is clear acrylic.  All the pages in the album are of different sizes. 

 



The first page has a photo mat and a place to add a title or journaling.

Behind the first page is a photo mat made into a pocket with some shipping tags tucked inside.

The next page is interactive.  I made a video which I'll post below so you can see how it looks.
The mini booklet is held together by a brad and a Tim Holtz metal tag.  The "memories" is made with a die by Papertrey Ink.

Here is a  photo mat on the outside of one of the file folders in the collection with a Tim Holtz metal word band.

A pocket made with an Accucut die to store pictures or other keepsakes.

One of the bigger file folders in the collection.  Added the cut out banner and twine.  Perfect for a large group picture or many small pictures.

Another interactive page.  The cutout is attached to the photo mat with washi tape which allows it to open from the side.  The washi tape is from the Summer Stories collection.  Love the cameras on it.

Created a pocket and added more photo mats for her to use.  Prima flowers, bling, and a Tim Holtz filmstrip finish off this page.

Created some mini file folders using a Papertrey Ink die and inserted them in a pocket.  The back page is made of black chipboard.

 

On the back cover I attached an eyelet and ribbon from which hangs a metal flower embellishment which I put together.

Prima Time Traveler Mini Album

I had so much fun creating this.  I was inspired by the educators of the Prima design team.  I love the colors and images in this collection, and it's become one of my favorites.

White Wedding Card

We have our friends getting married this weekend, so I set out to make a card for them.

I made this card using Cardabilities sketch #102 and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge to use white.  The background is made using an embossing folder.  The stamp set is by Inkadinkado.  Added some I Am Roses flowers, ribbon, and pearl stamen and spray.
