Getting a head start in making Christmas cards. I used Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #226: Creating with Stripes as my starting point.
Not having any stripe stamps, I looked hard into my PTI stash. I found a stamp in the Button Boutique that kind of fit the bill. Unconventional, but you gotta work with what you've got, right? I made this relatively simple so I can mass produce and mail for the holidays.
Here are the supplies that I used for this card:
Stamps: (All Papertrey Ink) Button Boutique, Stylish Sentiments: Holiday, Countdown Details, Love Lives Here: Holiday
Dies: Wonderful Words: Holiday Die Collection.
Ink: Memento
Paper: Paper Studio Heavy Weight Holiday Cardstock
This card is also for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Clean and Simple Christmas.
Thanks for stopping by!

PTI MIM #224 Enjoy Life
Hello again! I love this week's technique called "Two Toned Stamped Sentiments". Here is my version of the technique:
I stamped the coffee cup images on PTI Vintage Cream cardstock, as well as the sentiment. I also used Autumn Rose ink and cardstock, upon which I heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder. I then used the Heart Prints die to cut out part of the sentiment. The stamps used are the Wet Paint stamp set and the Heart-2-Heart #1. Matted the sentiment section with some kraft cardstock, and then added a flower and a Prima coffee cup embellishment.
Thanks for taking a peek!

PTI MIM #223 Coffee Talk
Hello! I think this is a fun card to make and receive. This week on the Papertrey Ink website, the technique is called "Camouflaged Pocket Inserts". You created a pocket and tag and attach stamped die cuts in an interesting way. Here's what I came up with:
The main coffee cup image and sentiments are from the Heart-2-Heart #1 stamp set, with matching die. The tag die I used is Tag Sale #6. I just snipped off the round end to allow it to fit better in the hand made pocket.
The pocket is hand stamped. First, I inked the white cardstock with distress ink. Then I stamped the background with Background Basics: Text Style to mimic the designer paper I used for the tag. I didn't use a stamping block for that, I just used my fingers to apply pressure at different areas for a worn appearance. The pocket was also stamped with flower images from the Ruby Reprise stamp set. The designer paper is from Prima's Coffee Break. I added the eye glasses wood embellishment, also from the same collection, for added fun. The trim on the bottom finishes off the card.
This card also fulfills the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge this week of using stamps and die cuts on your project.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love You MIM #207
Hello! I wanted to try this week's Make It Monday technique of double partial die cutting.
The dies I used are PTI Hearts Print die collection and Limitless Layers 2 1/4" Hearts die collection.
The Autumn Rose cardstock was stamped with Background Basics: Sheet Music in Autumn Rose ink. The sentiment is from the Say It With Style stamp set, stamped in versamark and heat embossed in black. I made some crinkled black seam binding by spraying it with Prima's Antique Gold bloom spray, scrunched and heat set it, and tied it in a bow. The designer paper is by Prima.
Such a cool technique! Thanks for stopping by!

Stamping Mania
For my card today, I did a lot of stamping, no designer paper here. (No sun today, so I had to take the picture indoors.)
The challenge for Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #206 was to create a card using 3 mixed stamped patterns. For the pink striped pattern, I used a 3 inch stripe stamp from the Mat Stack 1 collection. The next pattern uses a single polka dot from the Polka Dot Basics set, stamped in green atop a text stamp. The third, bigger pattern uses stamps from the Rosie Posie stamp set. The sentiment is from the Wonderful Words: Birthday Mini stamp set. The edges were inked with Distress Inks.
I'm also submitting this card for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: One Stamp, Many Ways, using the stamps to create a background.
Thanks so much for taking a peek!

Easter Card for MIM #205
Hello there! When I read Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday this week, I wanted to try it out. I decided to make an Easter card using some new supplies I received in a recent haul.
I used the negative space left over of the Egg die as a mask as I did my stamping. The stamped images are from the Hippity Hoppity Mini stamp set. And before removing the mask, I lightly inked the edge with a distress ink to give the egg shape definition. The mini flower and heart image are from other PTI stamp sets.
The image was stamped on Tag Sale #3 die cut. The felt flower was die cut from the Heart to Heart #7 die. The button is from the Vintage Buttons set. The paper collection is from Simple Stories and added string and lace trim to complete the card.
I love this technique and plan to use it on more cards.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink MIM150: Just Because
I made a card for the Make it Monday 150 challenge of making a window card.
The designer paper is from Prima's Divine collection. The window was created using Spellbinders dies and behind it I used Papertrey Ink's Harlequin cover plate die. Other Papertrey Ink supplies include sentiment stamped from Damask Design, flowers from the Rosie Posie stamp set and dies, and Vintage Cream and Sweet Blush cardstock. Added lace trim, seam binding, flat back pearls, and an Ingvild Bolme resin piece to complete the card.
Thanks for taking a peek!

Make it Monday #139
Hello! Here is a card I made for Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #139: Stamped Square Frames.
The flourish to create the frame came from the Vintage Labels stamp set. In the background, I stamped Background Basics: Text Style and Fancy Flourishes. The main image and sentiment came from the Butterfly Dreams set. To create the overlay frame, I die cut Spellbinders Ovals and Decorative Ovals together. I stamped the frame flourish atop to create a seamless picture.
Other products used: Papertrey Ink Scallop border, Webster's Pages designer paper, I Am Roses flowers, lace, and flat back pearls.

The sentiment is also from the Damask Design stamp set, and the frame and matching die is from Pretty Peonies. DP on the side is My Mind's Eye, added black grosgrain ribbon and a Prima flower to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by.
